MINUTES OF A MEETING of the St Goran Parish Council held on Thursday 6th October 2005 in the St Goran Church

Schoolrooms at 7.30p.m. with Mr G. Husband in the Chair.

Present were Messrs Ayres, Church, Lobb, and 1 member of the public.

PUBLIC SESSION

There were no questions from the public so the Parish Council went into formal session.

APOLOGIES

Messrs Grose, Bullen, Michell, Vian, Whatty, Mrs. Gouldsmith and Restormel Borough Councillor  Mr.  P. Trevarton.

MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE        1st September 2005

The minutes were agreed.

MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES

Treveague Farm. As this matter has taken a long time to resolve and not all queries have been answered it was agreed to write to the Head of the Planning Section.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Footpaths. None.

Beach. As it may take some time to put any plans for the beach into operation for next year it was agreed to bring a meeting of the committee and other interested parties forward.

General Purposes. Display boards still need redoing.

CORRESPONDENCE

 C.C.C. Details of road closure for repairs at Boswinger. Mr. Church reported that these have now been done.

Mr. & Mrs. Debotte. Request to copy geological map drawn by C. W. Peach. The original belongs to the National Geographical Society and their permission to be sought.

C.C.C.  Details of the Parish & Town Council Conference 2005 in respect of footpaths.

Graham & Graham. Payment of £500.00 legacy from the will of Mr. Joseph Harry Evans received. Request for any suggestions for this to be made in Parish magazine.

Devon & Cornwall Police Authority. Details of liaison meeting.

A1 Health and Safety Cornwall. Details of one day workshop.

St Goran Church Schoolrooms Committee. Thanks for grant.

PLANNING

Mrs. A. M. Yeomans. Demolish single storey flat-roofed extension; erect two storey pitched roof extension to existing dwelling at Cornerways, Gorran High Lanes. Full Planning. No objection.

Mrs. A. M. Yeomans. Demolition of bathroom addition, building new two storey extension to existing cottage at Cornerways, Gorran High Lanes. Listed building consent. No objection.

Mr. & Mrs. Drew. Replacement of metal window frame with wood frame at Pothys Place, Church Street, Gorran Haven. Listed Building Consent. No objection.

Mr. Michael Crook. Lifting of conditions 4& 5 of 00/1328 for conversion of building to holiday home at The Old Dairy, Cooks Lane, Gorran Haven. Full Planning (Lifting/Alternative Condition). No objection.

Mr. Gordon Couch. Proposed alterations and extensions. New detached double garage, alterations to G. F. of existing dwelling. New balcony and entrance porch/ conservatory at The Boathouse, Rice Lane, Gorran Haven. Full Planning. No objection.

Mr. Wilkins. Removal of rear extension, erection of conservatory, relocation of bathroom, conversion of loft with dormer at St Kevern, Canton, Gorran Haven. Full Planning. No objection.

Mr. & Mrs. T.Gale. Extension to detached bungalow at 21 Trelispen Park, Gorran Haven. Full Planning. No objection.

TOURIST BROCHURE 2006. Agreed to produce a brochure next year.

PARISH PROBLEMS

Mr. Lobb commented on the fact that because of the mistake by the Planning Department there has been no 106 agreement in which case a sum of money would have been paid for infrastructure. Agreed to contact R.B.C. for a sum of money to be paid in order to help with the cost of a new footpath to the school.

Mr. Lobb reported that there is a problem with the road in Trewollock Lane.

Mr. Church expressed the opinion that the ideas on a new village hall project should not be seen as a P.C. project.

The meeting finished at 8.30 p.m.
